Privacy policy
Effective July 7, 2026. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
There are no accounts, so we don't hold a profile of you. Your chats and memory notes live in your browser, on your device. Messages are sent to our model service to generate each reply. We show no ads, and we don't sell data.
What stays on your device
The chat stores your conversation history, your memory notes, and your language preference in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device except as described below, and clearing your browser data removes them. We cannot see, restore, or recover them.
What we process to answer you
When you send a message, it travels to our model service so Wave-1 can generate a reply. The request includes your message, recent turns of that conversation for context, and any memory notes you have saved. Every message also passes Wave Guard, our safety screen.
If you turn on Search, your query is used to fetch web results so the model can answer with sources. Search is off unless you switch it on.
Fair-use limits
To keep the service fast and free for everyone, we apply usage limits using basic technical signals from your browser. These signals are used for limiting and abuse prevention, not to build an advertising profile.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no advertising profiles.
- No selling or renting data, to anyone, for anything.
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site.
Third-party services
Pages on this site load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google. The chat's web search fetches results from public search sources when you use it. Neither receives your conversation history from us.
If you write to wave@waveai.cloud, we see your email address and what you sent, and we use them to reply. Safety reports may inform our red-team work.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. We won't quietly weaken it.
