Why we exist
AI worth trusting has to be built that way.
The industry's default is to race: ship the biggest model on the fastest schedule and patch the damage later. We started Wave AI because we think that order is backwards. Trust is not a feature you add after launch. It is a property of how the thing was built, and it has to be there from the first day.
So we work in a different order. The safeguards are designed before the model is finished. The model is attacked by its own builders before anyone else meets it. And it ships when it holds, not when a calendar says so. Our first model, Wave-1, went through exactly that path, and it is live today.
We are independent. No parent company sets our release dates, and nobody upstream can pressure the bar down. When we say safety comes before the scoreboard, we are describing our incentives, not our marketing.

Safety before the scoreboard
We are not racing to the top of every leaderboard. If putting safety first costs us a step of raw capability, we pay it, on purpose, every time.
Honest by default
Our models say "I'm not sure" when they're not. Our benchmark charts compare against fair rivals and say so. The habit is the same one.
You are not the product
Chats stay in your browser. No ads, no selling data, no engagement tricks engineered to keep you scrolling.
Ship when ready
The date moves, the bar doesn't. A model that fails red-team waits, however long that takes.
